he keeps on moaning that radient keeps on crashing :cussing:

so any help or advise on what i need to stop this would be grately acepted

:worship: :worship: :worship:

mmmmmm whatever realy , pre built would proberly be the best ,

he has done things on this pc , like change grahics cards ,changed power suppy , and changed fan ? not sure how hard it is to built one from scrach

It's not actually too hard and we're mostly self-builder here. I assume he has a decent screen/mouse/keyboard already?

If so let me look around for a cnie pre-built system.

Here you go. Mesh make some very good quality PC's

This is £799, a bit over your budget but it looks good to go for a pre-built system

click

That looks very decent, plus you have the option of removing the monitor from the package, saving £85 and then upgrade the graphics card to a 256MB nVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS for +£50

I sent OP here from another forum cos I knew she'd get the best advice here. She only needs a base unit so something along the lines llwyd has suggested, i.e. better graphics and sound card. Any suggestions?

thanks for that and yes he has decent screen ,mouse , and keyboard , so its just the tower i need , he wants 2 graphics cards ? thanks again

You will be hard pushed to fit two cards that are worthwhile into a budget of £750. Currently it really isn't worth going down that road unless you have £400-£900 to spend on the graphics cards alone. That 7900GS that you can add on in place of the monitor will be pretty adequate for a while and soon the next gen of cards (DX10 capable) will be more than affordable.

Infact if you could take off the monitor and mouse+KB you may be able to add an 8800GTS without going TOO far over budget

Agreed with llwyd. Take off the monitor and add better GFX. 7900 or 8800 if you can afford it.

Mesh are pretty good for price + performance

How about same base that Kempez recommended (Link) but add Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Sound Card (oem) and 320MB nVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS graphics. £765.20. What do you guys think of that?

Yep definitely a sweet set-up. If you buy your hubby that system then I think you should probably contract him to 6 months of washing-up duties in exchange :p

I wish my wife was like you, who knows perhaps one day she will say to me, guess what honey, I just bought you an all singing / dancing pc, but somehow, I dont think she will. :( . even if i offered 6 months washing up lol

lol, my mate had a mesh PC and back then (5 years ago) their customer support was crap, but they did help him out with his problems and replaced anything under warranty . Even though we did take the

If I'm honest...not really. The Mesh system was much more of a bargain.
