Help needed for a new video card..........Choices??????

ok well, i currently have a PNY 6600. im thinking of upgrading it to one of the above cards but i really cant decide which will be the best for me, they are all AGP. i was wondering which will give the best visual & performance improvements the most?

they are all roughly the same price range, so price isnt really an issue............

plus is it actually worth upgrading, as will i actually see a better picture quality e.t.c?????

Tbh mate you won't gain much form any of them over a 6600 (enless its an LE?).

But, best out of them is either the 7600 or Either of the X1650s.

Simply pick the cards you're looking at plus your current card then check the benchmark most appropriate to your usage (i.e. which type of game you play most).

am i correct in thinking that these are the highest end cards i can go with a AGP slot?

I believe the X1950Pro 512 is the best AGP card. The Powercolor one comes with an Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 for about £125 or the HIS with an IceQ3 cooler.

You'll see there's a more common 256 memory version and a Lite version which wont be as good.

Yeh the X1950 pro or the 7950GT AGP are the highest you can go i think.
