Use the latest Unified Nvidia drivers. They'll recognise the card. The Quadro drivers tend to be older versions that are tried, tested and warrantied for stability, not performance.
Quadro cards are used for commercial applications (I've got a Quadro 900xl in my machine at the moment, am waiting for my Asus X800 pro to come back under warranty) Therefore, commercial apps need to be very stable. Nvidia wouldn't want to gain a bad rep (or get their asses sued) for having high end workstations failing in commercial settings. The damage incurred when a commercial PC goes down is different to when a home PC goes down. Money is lost when a commercial PC crashes, whereas a home user will just curse at the screen, hit the reset button and start again (or give up and go to bed!)
So, if it's stability that you're after Quadro drivers will do the trick. Certainly won't do any harm. If it's speed you're after, and the latest add-ins for games, go with the Unified drivers.
