help choosing ups

Im building my new rig soon and i want to get a ups

im allso planing on overclocking the Core i5 2500K and the overclock msi GTX580 twin Frozr II / OC

will a 600va Line Interactive ups do the job for me here is a link to the ups there are a few models the models im looking at is the prd650 just want it to protected my hardware thats all thanks

I've never heard of this company. Personally I wouldn't buy anything other than APC. You need to work out how many watts your pulling at the wall with an energy meter and then work out how long you would like it to be able to power the system. Then you can make the choice as to what model you will need.

Do you need it mainly for brown-out or black-out protection?

hmmm.....i think 600VA is a little thin. got a APC 900VA ups (540W max output) for my two (atom powered) NAS boxes and one GbE switch. when they're under load, they'll consume almost half the max output of the ups. but despite of that i would always look for APC, as sheroo mentioned. they're the leader in the field and reasonably priced in my opinion.
