Hi I'm new here. I mostly do a lot of hands on with linux (fedora core, ubuntu) and opensource programs like mythtv, openfiler, zimbra, etc and working with raid and nas filesystems.

I do run a winxp box at home for a game server (it dual boots). I also have extensive background in cad design and robotics mainly with routers.

sooo many effects in that little Gem, the majority of them actually make working on my 'puter more efficient (but some waste time with me running them over and over and over and over and over and over .. well u get the idea)

Alright alright alright, welcome to :oc3d: dude:hello:

Matter of fact I do have a question for you... I believe XP allowed up to 2TB's of storage, how much does Vista allow and/or is capacity dependant on other factors? Thx,

32bit can have upto 4gb, 64bit can have upto 8gb on home basic, 16gb on home premium and 128+ on business, enterprise and ultimate.

business, enterprise and ultimate also provide support for 2 cpu's

EDIT: oops, your on about hard drive space, im not drunk, honest!! i thought they were limited by the filesystem ,not the os. but im just guessing.

hi, nice to have another linux user on the site :)

Also interesting to see you work with mythtv etc as I spent 2years working on & with linux based CCTV DVRM systems.
