Hi

Im Flash, with a weird forum name of Cucumber. I live in South Africa. It isn't all villages and spear-wielding tribes fighting each other like some think it is. I live in a small coastle town on the southern coast. Ive been into gaming since i was 6 years old (so for about 9 years now). Gaming lead me to meet many awesome people in the hardware and software business, and i was really intrigued by their knowledge of computer parts. This encouraged me to learn about it myself too. Im currently waiting on funds for me to build my first gaming pc and I enjoy chatting.
 
Welcome to the OC3D forums dude. I have a Friend here in the UK who's from Pretoria, top bloke but very strange sense on humour, he always used to say this quote if ever we're out drinking, "Never above you, never below you, always beside you" but said in Afrikaans.

Then you say it in Afrikaans as well dude... it's not the same thing otherwise ^_^
 
We tried but it's a language that takes some serious practice, there are clicks involved and much spitting ensued :lol: but we knew what he was saying and to this day it's a great mantra.

I can speak the mostly fluent afrikaans with the exception of a few words where i begin to stutter - being it my second language and all, but i am was the top achiever in the language for my grade last year. I'd take a shot and say its something like "Nooit bo jou nie, Nooit onder jou nie, maar alteid langs jou."

Nice one dude! ;) ... And haha, I just got the idea of putting everyone in a channel in Teamspeak and everyone tries to say that sentence, what a lugh! :lol:
