I should have joined these forums ages ago... I actually discovered OC3D through Linus Tech Tips who I've been following for a *touch* longer. Tom is definitely no slouch in this business, and I've been keeping up with what he and the OC3D crew have been churning out ever since. I just can't seem to get enough tech news these days.
Anyway, a bit about me and computers - Most recently I finally built myself a new gaming / everyday rig towards the higher end of mid-range. Coming from my last proper 'gaming' computer which was based on a P4 @ 3.2 paired with an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, the jump to an i5-4670K with a GTX 760 and an SSD blew my mind.
I also have an older MacBook Pro from early 2006 (which I still use), and the computer that used to be the P4 rig has gone through an iteration or two since and is now my linux-based server. I have plans for the server... expensive plans. Who really needs money anyway?
Getting back to this website, I find there's a tiny problem with following Tom... Logan - currently my gaming rig is built in a 600T, which when I bought it I of course thought it was all I would ever need and more. It's actually held up to that test rather well, but now that I've used it for about 6 months I've noticed some things I'm not fond of. It's not fundamentally broken or dysfunctional or anything, I'm just picky.
Then today I see Tom's 760T review and now there's this alternative where all of the things I don't like about the 600T are... fixed. Suddenly I'm probably in the market for a new case, and the one it would be replacing isn't very old. Darn you Tom! I have entered the draw, but regardless of the outcome I think I'll be unboxing a 760T in the near future.
