My pc specs suck balls, I actually DREAM of a better gaming exprience. I've been watching toms videos for about 3 months and he's taught me terms do's and do nots I really appreciate it

Pentium D 3.4Ghz

1tb Seagate barracuda 7200Rpm Hdd

Radeon X1050

2GB Ram (533mhz)

Motherboard is nothing special (Lga 755)

Welcome to the forums. I was once in your position and I also had dreams of owning a nice gaming rig, which were eventually fulfilled as per my sig and I'm sure you will own a kick arse rig one day too. You just need a job, spend wisely and save what you can and you will get there

Welcome to the forums, main tip savings account and setup a direct debit to it, does't have to be a large sum, I saved £10-£15 a week to build mine, took about 2 years before I could afford it but it was well worth the leap I took.

but then again I did buy all the expensive stuff, you don't need that to have a kick ass gaming rig. I'm just abit of a hardware enthusiast and always want the best of the best thats why its cost me soo much. I'm still not finnished tho I've got the main bits of hardware up and running.

Yes I'm waiting for the ivy bridge 3500k series then I'm building my first rig, I'm planning it to be something like this

Intel IvyBridge 3550k (estimating around 240$)

Sapphire 7850 2gb DDR5 Pci-e 3.0 (260$)

850W Raidmax 80+ Gold Certified (80$)

i love Asus, gonna get one of their cheap Z77 Atx Boards (200$)

Case: Nzxt temp 410 elite/Shinobi i like both (90$)(60$)

I'm getting a H80, Thanks to toms review I couldn't see myself air-cooling a cpu (90$)

8gb 2133Mhz (O.C.) 80$

I'm still saving gonna buy the case this month.. I honestly want a 950$ Rig because that'll take me 3/4 months to build

sounds like your onto a sure thing there mate, although don't be fooled 3/4 months down the line I'm 100% sure that list will change

I know it will change honestly I'm scared to get a lga 1155 socket, I heard it's gonna be discontinued after ivy bridge is through I think they're gonna try to add the 23nm architecture to the bigger lga 2011 socket, I can't imagine how powerful chips will be when they do this
