You might want to post your proposed build in the new build advice section.

Just had a quick breeze through your PC spec and there might be a couple of things you might want to change, or you might not

Just wondering if its a gaming rig or a gaming/rendering rig your after?

Normally gamers go for the 2500K and renderers go for the 2600K as the only real difference is that the 2600K has more threads which are good for rendering but make no difference to gaming.

Also 4GB of ram is enough for gaming, 8GB is good again for rendering type stuff (I hear anyway, don't do any rendering)

Last thing I noticed was that you've only chosen a 520W PSU where Nvidia recommend a 550W for the 570. Don't get me wrong, this will probably run your rig fine for now but it can pay off to go for a higher PSU, say a 750W or 850W because PSU's can degrade over time and also you then have enough wattage to add a second 570 later if you wanted to without having to upgrade the PSU.

Just stuff I thought you might be interested to know if you didn't already but if you did I apologise.

thanks for the advice man i got my current PSU free from the gadget show because i beat this guy at counter strike, i was thinking of getting a new one but i might w8 until i have all the important hardware until i start to upgrade, and the reason i was going for 8gb of RAM is because because i game but also do so rendering so i wanted to be on the safe side. What power supply wound you recommend??

To be honest it did look like a rendering rig with the 2600K and 8GB of RAM but I just wanted to make sure that was intentional. Hope you didn't mind.

If your only going to have one 570 then I'd go with something around a 650W. If you want to be able to add a second later then the PSU I would recommend is the Corsair AX 850 as it's a gold efficacy PSU with a 7 year warranty and a solid reputation.

Not sure what PSU I'd recommend myself around 650 mark but try to go with a good make like Seasonic, Corsair (re-branded Seasonic apparently), Be Quiet something along those lines. Tbh I'm not that knowledgeable on PSU's but I did have a PSU go bang on me once and take out my mobo so I do recommend not skimping on the PSU. Best thing to do if you want a 650ish PSU, when you think you find one then post it in the PSU forum to see what people there think.

I also just noticed that the mobo your looking at is a H67 (sorry I missed that before), you don't want that, not with a K processor because it won't be able to use the overclock features. You at least want a P67 motherboard but if you can hold out you would be better going with the new Z68 boards which are basically the P67 and H67 boards combined and improved.

Come along to the "new build advice" thread and we can help you out there. Sorry that I seem to be pushing you over there but it's just that normally after somebody's said hello to somebody then they tend to stop checking that thread here because they just presume it's somebody else just saying hello

I will look into that PSU becuse it sounds good and right for me, thanks. Also about the mobo i was look ng at the asus ROG mother boards, do you knw if they are going to be doing a new board with the Z68 chipset because i would then get that one because they look awsome and ive seen that they perform very well as well.

this will be the last comment on the introduction page and i will start posting on the new build advice and its fine some times i need a push.

There's two new ROG boards coming out for the Z68 platform, the Mazimus 4 Extreme-Z and Gene-Z. If you like the ROG boards I think they could be worth the wait
