Headset Suggestion

As the title suggest I am looking for a new heaset as my steelseries siberia recently died. I already own a Xonar DG soundcard so I am looking for some high quality headphones, but I don't want to spend more than 60 Eur. Preferably the headphones that don't have attached mic's as I always use my Logitech C310 for that.

These are my current options:

Corsair Vengeance 1300
Steelseries 4H
Razer Electra Black Edition
Corsair Raptor Gaming H3
Corsair HS1

If you have any suggestion on headset that aren't listed please don't hesitate to suggest and I will try to find them locally. Right now I am leaning towards the razer electra as I know it feels nice (two of my friends own one) and satisfies all the conditions I have.

Thanks in advance,
maniac

HeadSETs have a built in mic
HeadPHONES don't.

You want headphones, especially if you have a soundcard.

Avoid all the ones you've listed pretty much. If you want to save some money, get some Sennheiser 202s. They'll be better than anything you've listed, and for about half the price.

Some headsets have detachable mic's like the siberia and the electra. I found the Sennheiser 202-II for 31.50 and it's only a minute away from where I work, if they are any better than the electra, I'll go buy them first thing Monday morning. Until then, I am still open for suggestions.

Headsets use very cheap drivers with enhanced bass levels to basically make all explosions and gunshots etc more forceful.
However, in doing this, they have absolutely nothing on the trebles, and the mids aren't great at all. Also, the overall quality of the audio is terrible due to the poor quality drivers

Headphones are designed to reproduce audio as precisely as they can to it was intended to be.

This means any music listening on headsets is pretty unbearable (especially as you have a soundcard) whilst it is possible on headphones. Headsets are always massively overpriced for their quality too, usually just because they have a brand written on them.

I'm suggesting the 202s because they're incredibly good for the price, They're about the best you'll get for under £50 really. If you have a higher budget, then maybe spend a little more, but you'll have to spend a fair bit more to make it worthwhile I think, and it won't be worth it IMO.

TBF I always liked Sennheiser, I think I'll go with the 202's as the 518's are almost 4 times the price. Although there is the PC310 which is a gaming headset also at 60Eu, but then again it is a headset.

Edit: Should I go for 202-II or 205-II, the 205's are 20 euros more expensive, are they worth it?

Got me the 202's today, with some tweaking they do sound quite good for the price, sound isolation is good, but IMO they lack a little bass.

From using headsets in the past - you will think they lack a little bass.
But compared to headsets, they are far better than anything for music, and in my opinion they're as good for gaming too.

Still, you won't get better for the price.

James, oh dear james, I heard a couple of songs of different genres and I think I'm in love, they're about 99% better than most headsets I ever tried, the detail in the music is so f'ing crisp.

I'll try some battlefield 3 now but I still love you <3 no homo ofc.
If sometime I visit the UK I will make sure to come to sheffield just to offer you a ton of beer, cause well, you deserve it :)
