One thing tho Nick, you say run in safemode? Are you sure? This means it probably wont load any drivers specifically for use with your hard disk controller - but will instead use default windows ones?

Mine performed .5 MB/s faster in Burst, and about 1 MB/s faster in average. So...not sure.

It just tests for a longer amount of time, gives a slightly more accurate result.

just a few mb/s behind in avg read. 10000rpm my ass. id rahter have d'em hitachis as they are quieter use less power and run cooler

edit: fraggle, honestly short and long bench makes no difference. you get just about the same score, a little higher (like 1-2 MB/s) in 8mb vs 32. the longer one is more accurate, but takes longer, and isn't much more accurate--at all.

Ionicle - go into safe mode and run it from there...then get a screenshot.

For safe mode: press F8 before windows starts (just after POST) and select safe mode from "advanced options"
