Have a g2460 pg G-sync monitor issue

So have had this problem for a few years now, at first i thought it was a image burn issue, but the thing i really do not understand is some days its bad and other days it does not happen at all, i have searched online and done a few suggestions such as leaving the monitor off for a while but still comes back

I have included two pictures one where you can see a line clearly across, but often would be worse then that and would see other similar things on the screen almost like a image burn and always in the same place.

The other picture it took today....and its not there at all and i am really puzzled any help is appreciated

Change the cable first. If not then I think it's the connection and delamination along the soldered edge which is not repairable.

Cheers i tried different cables got a new graphics card recently as well and still the same.

Still bizarre though as i have seen sometimes what looks like a image burn elsewhere on the monitor but again comes and goes

Image persistance is usually only temporary in LCDs(Mostly resets after being turned off for abit), sometimes the persistence can occur in ways that it makes the pixels more "inclined" to a certain state if the desired value/voltage is quite close to one they've rested in for a while though, the artefacts can end up pretty weird, but it should only be particularly visible when the screen is darker.

If the connection is bad then the voltage can lower hence the line. IIRC the "ribbon" type edge connection works in lines.

I had an Acer a few years ago that developed lines. When I took it apart I found that if I applied pressure to the edge the lines vanished. However as I said, it's not repairable. Not by any means I know of any way. I found my Acer had actually rusted inside due to the immense humidity in the room over summer (BITD with a GTX 280 and a hot pre 80+ PSU).

If it were more sporadic I'd suspect something else, but the fact it's in a perfect line kinda rings alarm bells for me.

Yeah always appears in the same place and often would see other things appear on screen in that faded look like small square or possible text (which is why i thought it was some kind of burn in) but bizarrely past few days it has not happened at all, but i guarantee in a week or two it will come back

Possibly electromagnetic interference, I've seen some cheaper Chinese chargers around alot for smartphones & laptops or transformers for other digital devices that clearly don't meet the regulations for EM noise, I've seen them mess up screens, but also homeplug adapters, Thunderbolt/USB connections, audio, any kinda transmission really, digital or analogue. Also seen things like microwaves, washing machines/dryers, hoovers cause problematic interference to devices that aren't shielded properly. Maybe it's happening when a certain device or charger is near or being used in a socket on the same ring? (Most British houses have one ring per storey, a lot of Irish too but ring circuits aren't quite as ubiquitous there)

Usually the interference for a monitor would be catching via internal ribbons, or possibly capacitors, rather than the external HDMI/DP/whatever cables for digital transmission.

A possible update to this, I was just searching for stuff at random, and came across something called Monitor Clouding and while my monitor has lines and stuff which would go away after being switched off i have noticed a clouding type issue

Dunno what is happening now, after switching the monitor off for a few days it seems ok but comes back very quickly , and seems like a temporary burn in as often will see text persist on the screen and then a week later it will be different text or image that burns in
