Macs are good things....but very expensive.

I've used a powermac and it was very very fast. My friend was cadding it and its is quick as. Also Macs are good to use for music mixing apps.

I just can't get over the expense of macs...they cost so goddamn much (the imac does look nice tho!!)

:p

is it possible to buy one and then install XP on it cause ive never liked the operating systems on them i much prefer microsoft software

You are one of the very very few people I have ever heard say that. OSX is a beautiful/ergonomic OS and I prefer it to XP...by far.

I think Macs run MS simulators which you can use MS software on OSX :)

I don't believe so, i could be wrong but i think the PPC was only supported on Windows NT4 and they dropped it after that.

Yeah I don;t think you can install XP....but you can get Office for Mac and stuff like that.....Mac software is good anyway.

The have add-in cards that let you run MS based OS's on Mac's without a huge decrease in performance... You can get the add-in cards with different speed pentiums on them.

I'll dig up links later when I get off work.

Yep most definitely, likewise if FragTek doesn't beat me to it. I'll post linkies later, I'm off to bed :)

Perfect PV, that top link showed all of the very old add-in cards I was thinking of that are new discontinued lol. The ones that we used to drool over were the OrangePC add-ins with Pentium/AMDsupport, those were the hotshit back in the day :D

OrangePC 660 = 1337 pwn4g3 :) AMD K6 support, w00tage. :D
