I have heard from a few people (no not some spotty kid in mom's basement ) that Microsoft is taking a leaf out of Apples play book with, that is that Windows 10 may well be free, or as near as damn it for Home users, business users will have to purchase an enterprise license for their machines.
There will be paid upgrade packs made available (think media center on Windows 8.x for an example of this) as well as several other possible packs, as well as upgrades for the edition of Windows you have (think along lines of Home Basic, Home Premium, Ultimate) so as you get more features enabled.
So how true this information is, I am taking it with a bucket of salt (instead of a pinch). If anyone else has heard anything along these lines, I am intrigued as to how true this will be, especially as Microsoft being a software company and this in a way will be cutting off a major source of income for them!
