I am going to buy HL2, but I have a few questions.

Does anyone own the Game of the Year Edition? What's the advantage in owning it? Can't you download all the extras free through steam anyway? Is there anything in the GotY edition that you can't get any other way?

I got the DVD edition in the shops when it came out. I like not having to download the whole damn thing if I ever have to re-install

Sorry, I'm just being a bit dense. So let me just confirm this...

With Half-Life 1, you could just download CS and play so long as you had the standard serial key.

With Half-Life 2, you can only play CS if you bought a copy of HL2 which came with CSS or has CSS "enabled" with your keygen. So if I buy a "standard" copy of HL2 which doesn't mention CSS it wont let me play?

Can you even buy a copy of HL that doesn't come with CSS?

I have it and it licks ubertesticles, It dosent come with shit, your better off getting the silver or gold package

I had to buy all the other games all it comes with are HL2, S and CSS
