£242 is out of my budget. I will just get a haf x £125, extra bitfenix 200mm fan for £8, Aerocool V12XT LCD Dual Bay Fan Controller £35 all that is £168

not water cooling and it is a very good case for air cooling

No its not a good case for aircooling,i have one myself, its noisy even with fancontoller, bad airflow without additional fans, crappy build quality,to manny workarounds to fit skrews properly.

But with watercooling installed its making sense to buy one.

Today i wouldnt buy it.For my next build i will buy a Lian Li case.

i have a haf x and i think it looks good, and i think the quality is good.... plus seeing the inside without having to cut the side panel is a plus.

the ONLY bad think is that the side fan collects dust really fast, and u need to clean that one frequently.

Post a pic after u buy ur case and put ur components in

The Haf X is a great case for keeping everything inside cool, I added an extra 200mm exhaust to the top and it all runs well.

My major niggle with the case is the stupidly small cpu backplate cut out, it should be double its current size, as I have to remove my R3E from the case to fit my h70 backplate, and that's why I'm looking to change case.

I had the same debate between the 2 but the NZXT looked alot better which persuaded me to get it. Also space and airflow is not an issue with it, only issue is if you have a tall heatsink you can't have a side fan, well you can but has to be small width ways

I had the HAF-X previously. It's noisy, big and rugged. The inside build quality isn't all that great. Few issues with screw threads going with little use around where the GPUs slot in, couple of alignment problems even though the mobo was set perfectly flush.

Gone for the NZXT Phantom this time, because it's something different.

Had similar problems when I tried to take my board out for the 1st time, I ended up with plyers holding the case/board fixings on the backside while trying to unscrew them from the inside.....Pain in the arse to put it mildly

HAF X hands down legs up.Big fans for quiteness, enough room for modding and showing off.As somebody pointed earlier dust filters easily accessible.Front and top panel have a clear path for intake and exhaust. The hot swap bays and the most important subjective point i like the looks of HAF X more than the phantom.

I dunno. Everything about the HAF-X should "mean" it's the better of the two, but once you've had both, you can't help but be charmed by the Phantom. It's a fair bit shorter but everything inside looks the same "fit" if that makes sense. Can't comment on water cooling though, imagine you may have issues with that.
