Irrespective of the charge...

Will turn into a politcal sideshow for no reason imo. They already played the arse-burgers card.

Start learning how to pickup the soap safely in the shower afaic.

this has annoyed me. Firstly, yes he broke the law and should be punished (he even agrees with this). But sending him to the US for them to prosecute under the anti-terrorism act is a joke. It's clearly the US making a case becuase there all red faced about there worlds best network getting hacked into. Wish the PM would get a spine.

I can't believe it....nobody shows mercy these days!!

The worst thing is its the US, so your gonna get a good a** whooping

Imho

In my humble opinion this Guy has tried to dodge paying for what he done in everyway conceivable even stating that he is autistic and has asperger's syndrome. And the searching for UFO's defence its just laughable!

All said and done this Guy was clever enough to breach one of the most secure networks on the planet and his actions could and may have cost lives!

You do the crime now do the time, he should stop his whinging and get on with it!

Maybe he could actually do some good by telling the USA govy exactly how he breached countless firewalls and network protocols.

you make it sound like he self diagnosed his asperger's syndrome. Your telling me the US arnt trying to make a case out of this.

I dont think anyone thinks he shouldnt be punished.

Im not saying he self diagnosed his aspergers syndrome, but he was a network specialist before and I bet you can guarantee the aspergers didnt get a mention when it suited him and only really emerged since he has been fighting extradition.

And yes the US are making a case out of this and quiet rightly so, you do not break into a military network without consequences. I manage a large WAN myself and probably have the same skill set that he has, and if I hacked into a network the way he did then I know the consequences of my actions.

I also spent 12 years in the army and know the importance of security of information in the military, his actions could have cost men on the ground there lives.

As I stated before this is just my opinion, but as someone who has served his country in several different theatres of operations what this guy done was no different than a terrorist act and so should be treated the same!

If he were Russian, living in the UK, and did it 20 years ago, he'd be in the US already with voltage probes on his 'nads.

Different time, similar outcome imo.

Just to throw in a different situation, if he did it in the US, he'd still expect the same treatment.

I mean what kind of an idiot thinks that the military of any country would take kindly to them attempting to snoop around their systems, even under the guise of UFO hunting. Stupid excuse imo.

I don't believe the arse-burgers myself. If he said he was retarded, I'd tend to agree.

Meh, only about 2 people at my school know I'm an aspie and I'm happy to keep it that way. It's all too easy for people to conjure up images of savants or, for example, the rain man [a film].

As for hacking the pentagon, and putting it down as a fixation on UFO's, =P, its far too easy to end up to the point of fixation, but that's just inexcusable. Let him get punished.
