Do you have an actualy budget that you would like it to be around, and what exactly are you looking to buy?

hi mate, i've just decided on a new rig too, so i'd be happy to help, though pat here will give you some amazing tech help. If you want help, just ask! And yeah, projects would have been the forum for you (subforum of show it off), but this is probably fine, just ask a mod to move it for you.

well u can move this thread anytime u want :) and the budget is around 1.6 £, im looking for a good gaming pc, only tower needed

£1.6k ?

U looking for a quality build, just for gaming ? Or u looking to get some change from this 1.6k to do other stuff ?

Running everything @ stock levels ? Or thinking of dabbling with overclocking ?

Quiet pc ? Need to buy Windows ? Vista/XP ?

What games ? (Not that it matters that much with this budget)

Guyz will like 1.6k to play with tbh !

1600??? Sweet.

Give us a better idea of what you want and when you want to buy. I don't think its a good time to buy tbh, all the new stuff is roundthe corner - Dec/Jan... Can you wait?

mm this one is falling to pieces but i might actually wait if its that close. thx for ur help

Well, theres some good stuff just come out - theres some more stuff around the mid-end of the month, and some more alledged to be coming in 1Q 08 (although I think this will be an extension of a range coming in Nov).

U could get away with some outstanding choices Dec 1st for sure. U could also wait til 1Q 08 - BUT, the rule of the game is u can always w8. Theres always new stuff coming out every couple of months or so.

As the guy above says, you'll be forever playing the waiting game, and when the new cards come out, thats gonna be a massive chunck out of your 1.6k... Personally ide go for all top class stuff now, then maybe just a Q6600 and 8800GT then save yourself some doe, and get some new stuff when it hits the shelves which shouldnt be too long..

You looking to water cool?

Lol, its easy really. I didnt know anything, the one i use now in my sig was my first ever attempt. Do you research ask questions you should get it all spot on..

With a budget like that, you have some SERIOUS cash to spend..

I too need help, big noob here. I'm looking to get a PC that is extremely quiet, a processor for high end gaming, and a good graphics card. My build =
