here a picture i quickly drew up in paint show fans where they should be positioned, whether they should be pulling air out of the case or pushing in, also where vents ( cuts in the case) should be placed to spread air across componants

ive tried my best if anyone can make it look any better please feel free and email the pic to me and ill update the guide

the magnifacation of the side you cant see has vents the vent pull air in the case over the hard drive adn out the front trust me i have tried every thing with my dads pc and this works fine ;)

the top fan blowing in supplys fresh ait to the psu, the front fan pulls air in thru the vent on the side of the case u cant see in the drwing,

the vents you can see spread air across the cpu and graphics and is pulled straight out the back there fore, constant supply of fresh air from the top whilst the front and back dispell hot air

OK, but in airflow terms in a case this is wrong.

Check the link i posted. That is correct :)

Yeah this is a little flawed mate, but nice try regardless. Effective case cooling requires 'positive case ventilation'...that means that the volume of cool air is greater than the amount of stale, warm air inside the case. Bearing this in mind, you can have too much cool air incoming and not allowing warm air to be expelled via your case fans. Using your diagram, the front 120mm fan (I presume) is used to provide cool air over your HDD's, as the cool air is heated it rises (basic law of physics), hence the need for your top case fan and rear case fan to expell the warm air circulating in your case from both HDD's and CPU. Where you mentioned that the top fan is used to provide a fresh intake of cool air for the PSU, this is also incorrect in the majority of cases as most new PSU's have dual fans (1 at the bottom and 1 at the rear) which in turn negates the need for top air intake.

kool diagram but i have a shitty case with a slot at the back for an out take fan when its warm i have to pulll out the family fan and remove the side cover to coll my system anyone got any recomendations ???? :D

lol i didnt notice the top fan blowing in either  Time to re-evaluate ur case cooling knowledge, lol.

Granted my top case fan(s) blow in instead of out but I have good reason :D

Exactly, your setup is just a wee bit different to mine :)

My situation renders needing the cool external air to cool the radiator fins which would be a problem if I only had likea single rad with a single fan, but when u have 6 of those beasts on full blast it doesnt have a problem making all of the hot air vent at the lower rear part of the computer case, lol.

Get a new case with better cooling?? ;)

Check that link I posted in the second post. That's the right way to cool you case :)

i have the top fan blowing in so fresh air get thru the psu, becoz hot air risis therefor the psu just get hot air therfore getting hotter than it should be

PSU's are designed to ship the hot air outta the system mate...thats the way those babies work :)

can everyone stop critsising me plesae, if you guys just tried it out you then relise it does work as long as vents are placedd in the right places, my psu was running very hot 60* until i had that fan blowing in then temps went down to 41*
