are you sure? ive heard from quite a few people that home doesnt support it

Well, the thing is unless u`ve installed in a certain fashion, it will almost act like u`r using a single processor. And u need to install things in the correct way/order. I did my first install backasswards and it kept restarting on me like I had a hardware problem, randomly.

All windows XP supports multiple cores

Yep all Windows versions from 2000 up support 2 physical processors. For anything more than 2 physical processors you need to purchase a server copy of Windows.

How this affects quad-core I dont know, but i'd assume Windows can tell the difference between 4 cores and 4 physical processors.

Yeah...Windows XP (at least I know for the Pro version) FULLY supports even Quad-Core, as at my workplace we're using TWO Opteron 270 Dual-Core CPUs on the same mobo (TWO 940pin CPUs, each one 2GHz Dual-Core CPU) and Windows XP support them...

Do you work for MI6?

Hehehe :D Nope, but it could be nice if I worked there...;)

I actually work in an AOI company, which manufacturers machines for AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) of PCB (Printed Circuit Boards)!!! :)

Oops...now it's not a secret anymore! :D
