gtx 970 bios overvoltage

Yo,

So I was bored yesterday night and decided to mess around with my msi970 4g gaming a bit, skip few hours of effing around and now im at 1.35v and max W going into pcie connectors and pci lane.

But that hasn't really improved my overclock, atm running at 1560/2075(4150).

Also I noticed that my power limit will not go over 100%, I assume that's because of 100% being legit 100% it can take through changing bios config. When I reach 100% power limit through heavy burn ins(game don't even reach 75% most of time) it throttles the core down which stock rom didn't do that even though it had lower Wattage and voltages going in.

Am I missing something here? or am I lucky enough for top OC to stay stable without modding bios. I'll upload roms if you're curious when I get back home.

It wont on MSI - they really dont need volts because of all the extra watts they natively allow the cards - all you are basically doing is killing your card and reducing the lifetime of your overclock....

oh okay, though so lol :P, but that's fine in the worst case I'll mod it to fry eggs on. I'll just go back to stock 2F.

Thanks

Aye voltage tweak is pointless on the MSI's because they actually dont need it to get the best from them under normal use

Working with all the brands its actually interesting to know the difference is BIOS
