Would like to get your honest comment if it's okay to configure SLI those 2 reference cards that belongs from different brand such as Asus & Inno3d? Both cards are 780 reference series.

Kind regards,

The clock-saming thing isn't really an issue now? can't you unlock them?

I'm sure EVGA software allows this.

Actually they will each run at different clocks. SuB is correct Precision-X allows you to lock the settings together just to make overclocking a bit easier.

I had two consecutive serial number EVGA 780 superclocks with the reference cooler and the bottom card would always run 20-50MHz faster than the top one because it was slightly better cooled. It wasn't down to silicone either because swapping them over had no effect.

Any pair of 780's (or GPU boost 2.0 cards) will get on fine and naturally perform to the best of their individual abilities. A poor one will not hold back a strong one.
