hey guys, im an absolute newbie here on OC3D forums but i follow all Tom's work on youtube. recently i bought my self a MSI GTX 560 Twin Frozr II OC edition graphics card and found out that both the GTX 560 and the GTX 560 ti are based on the same gpu the GF 114. so i was wondering if it would be possible for me to flash 560 ti Twin Frozr II OC BIOS on my card and unlock the extra stream processors. i wanted to know what you lot think before doing this and looking like an idiot after killing my 560. so what do you guys think ? have any of you tried this out yet ? will i have any luck?

If it was doable it would have been done imo

Not sure what performance margins are between a 560 and 560ti, but the MSI GTX 560 Twin Frozr II OC has massive Oc headroom straight off the bat anyways. so even if you could flash it with a Ti BIOS, it would probably be easier, quicker (and less risky) to spend a bit of time with afterburner overclocking it

well i have already overclocked it to 950 MHz and i tried to push it to 1 GHz but it is not stable at that clock. even the newest afterburner beta only lets me put 1.087 V on the core and i can not use more than that
