I wanted to join this forum mostly to look for answers to my questions. I am looking to spend about 3000 USD on my upcoming build. I have settled on most parts with the option for easy upgrade in the future.

My biggest problem is that I am not ready for water cooling yet, but I want to option in the future.

My current build plan is as follows:
i7 4770k
Asus maximus vi formula
Asus GTX780 DCUII
EVGA 1000 P2
2x Samsung 250 SSD raid 0
2x WD Blue 1TB raid 1
Corsair H105

I cannot decide on a case. I don't need a full tower now, but I plan on adding another GTX780 later and full water loop.

Should I go full now? Is there an optimal mid tower that will work for the current and future build?

I was looking at the H440, 650D, and ARC XL. The on reason why I think I should just jump on the "Full" tower cases like the Arc or 650D is because there dimensions are not that much bigger than the H440.

I look forward to working with the community on this project and will be grateful for any assistance I receive.

Talk to you later.

Welcome to the forums chap, your choice in hardware is pretty rock solid. I also have issues choosing cases but I don't want the same as everybody else, I do like the H440 for it's interior and the Arc XL for it's exterior.

Thanks for the welcome. The H440 is growing on me the more I compare all the cases. The lack of 5.25 is no issue for me.

The one thing about that case that has me very intrigued is the push/pull space if I decide to "mod" the front and top covers. By mod, I mean dremel cutouts for fans to be mounted between the covers and the case. The only thing is I don't know how "deep" the covers are. Would it be possible to put some SP120's on the outside, make circular cutouts in the covers for the fans, and still be able to fit the cover back on? With no need for 5.25 ODD access, the case will be displayed from the left side anyway. The top and front covers will be mostly out of focus.

I like being able to bounce ideas off of more seasoned pc builders/modders.

Have a good day all.
