:huh: Uuuuuhhhh

Right the:
* Single GTX690 w/EVGA Backplate
* Dual HIS HD7970 ICEQ X2 3Gb's
* Dual GIGABYTE HD RADEON 7970 Windforce 3Gb
* Dual Sapphire HD 7970 VAPOR-X Ghz 6Gb

I'll leave the rest of the rig upto your imagination, no mummy or daddy funding when your 29!

So I was led to believe (like a month ago) at least guys n' gals, the my COSMOS 2 rig would be done, one XP one 7 Pro on separate SSD.

Now for comments help and idea's what one of these is better setup.?
Will be watercooled too and plenty of space inside.

I'd probably say 2x 670s.

Not sure on the current state of AMD Crossfire issues - so I'd avoid an AMD Crossfire solution. And there's no point in getting a 690 when 2x overclocked 670s will beat it in performance for around £100 cheaper - although probably not when you're adding the cost of a second waterblock in.

What resolution are you running?

Not a waterblock, a backplate (like the one on the Sapphire Vapor-x).
Thats what I ordered in from germany so ofcourse theres only a youtube video on how to fit it.
Co-incidentily, the nVidia titan card was tested against a sapphire vapor-x 6Gb card so on equal footing (more or less) titan beat the sapphire but 2 x sapphire 6Gb absolutely blitz the titan in crossfire with no issues.

Seriously though my p.c. rig is short on cash for 3d modelling and texturing in the graphics budget, so all help appreciated.

If that is the case then it depends on the software you will be using, If it supports CUDA then a 670 /690 will more than enough. If it supports OpenCL/GL then go for a 7970V-x, will be way more than enough.

3DS MAX Creation Suite, UDK and CRYENGINE 3 so variation of creating games models and creating various environments and deeper stuff to test its complete compatibility.

With the information that has been brought forth by PCper that isn't true.

It may appear to have no issues because FRAPS is recording the frames before they are delivered.

Have you read the article about frame rating? it's here in the Graphics Cards section. I'd check it out :)

I'll agree with James. Providing you have the right board two 670s in CFX will give you 690 performance for a lot less money. However, that doesn't mean I would discount the 690 as it's a very good looking card and only uses one slot.

FRAPS =Frame Rate Accuracy Per Second, I guess is deal with that, I havn't had a chance to try the stand-alone performance software yet, board I have is the ASUS SABERTOOTH X79 LGA2011, an EVGA GTX690 single card or 2x670's, these also on paper seem to really do well too.

I guess it depends on if having Cuda would benefit you. It wasn't on your list, but being an Nvidia fan boy I'm somewhat inclined to agree with somebody else and say SLI GTX 670's.

However, Crossfire 7970's are pretty badass too. Again I'd say go with SLI GTX 670's, but if you was to go with Crossfire 7970's I'd personally go with the XFX DD Edition Cards.

And perhaps another thing to bare in mind would be if the 3GB 7970 memory would suffice your needs better over the 2GB's of a GTX 670.
