Ya know what.. Correct me if I'm wrong but surely this is total crap though:

"The advent of the GPU is really the next big frontier for us. We have seen hundreds of times improvements over the last few months. This is taking Moore's Law out the window," Mr Kerris told BBC News."

I was of the belief that Moore's Law describes the doubling of transistor count rather than how quickly special effects designers could do their work??
 
Yes it states tansistor count should double every 2 years, but Moores Law isn't a proven law, as such is is used to refer to an exponential rate of development in tech.

The guy is basically saying the rate of improvement blows Moores double every 2 years out of the water...
