Now you can install games on different harddrives!

Yea I like it but you cant move a game. I wanted to move Skyrim from my HDD to SSD but you cant. You have to reinstall the whole game and since ive got a lot of mods installed its a hassle to reinstall them. I might just copy paste the data directory though. Hopefully that works.

Edit: @James: You need to participate in the beta.

YESSSSS! No more do I have to use hacks to get games on my hard drive from my SSD! This really is exciting, should've been implemented a while ago though.

Unfortunately not all games are able to be installed on another hdd, I tried to install TF2 on my SSD and it wouldn't give me the option while i still got that little menu if i try to install Quake 3.

I'm not 100% sure but I thought all source games have also loads of files in the different steam folders so you can't just move them.

Steammove Utility still works great for moving games to and from my SSD. Couldn't live without it! Move the games to your SSD that benifit from it and leave the old crap on your big clumsy drives.
