Hello evrybody on overclock3d!

i have resently broke my asus maximus V extreme and i cannot get it retuned (my fault) big money loss it keeps showing error code 20 wich means there is somthing wrong with the RAM but i dont think the ram is the problem with it ive done the research to try and fix it but nothing has worked.

Moving on im am going to buy a new motherboard im looking at a Z77 asus sabertooth, abit of a downgrade i know but its ideal for what i need it to do.

I want to use my corsair vengence 2133mhz 240pin from my V extreme but i have look at a pdf manuel for the sabertooth and it isnt under the qulified vendors list i am wondering if i can use the ram in it.

yeah you can use pretty much any ram in any board (obv ddr3)

Vendor list is for n0000bs tbh

what had you recently done to your mobo that caused the error to start up? or just started on its own?

I was changing cases I possibly damaged it in the process I had a cm stormtrooper to a corsair air 540 but the motherboard won't even go through boot it recently said error code 56 with is somthing wrong with the cpu but I new it was fine I took it downstairs to show my computer friend and we both looked at it and it came up with error code 20 wich wasc to do with the RAM I can't quit seem to work out what is wrong with the board.



I tryed to clear the static memory off the board but that didn't work I'm abit stuffed for ideas.
