Gigabyte's new SOC board detailed today. The new x99 series board will be a good choice for overclockers according to Gigabyte. I have no many information about it but there are the specs we are know yet

Specifications:

8+2+2 VRM for power the CPU
8 DDR4 DIMMs
4 PCIe-×16 slots (16-8-16-8 chanel)
3 PCIe-×1 slots
1 M.2 slots (20Gb/s - using PCIe-×4 lane)
1 SATA-Express 10Gb/s
8 SATA 6Gb/s
OP-AMP audio

And the usual mobo switches for overclocking, and plenty of USB3.0 ports and so on.

8+2+2 VRM power phase?

what is the third figure for?
8 is for cpu
2 is for ram
whats the other 2 for?

I think its 8+2 for cpu and 2 for ram, the +2 at the cpu is adaptive and can be shut off for power saving, had Something similar on my z77 up7 but it wasn't advertised.
But dont take me by word, i am just gessing
