The other of the flagship three X470 motherboards that we're reviewing today is the Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 WiFi. We put it through our benchmark suite.

Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 WiFi Review

Had provs myself with BIOS on X370

I had really annoying issues with the predecessor of this board, the Gigabyte Aorus GA-AX370-Gaming K7 and my Soundblaster xzr, which is the current PCI soundcard from Creative.

It sometimes takes several reboots until the soundcard is properly detected by windows which seems to be BIOS related, because there isnt such a problem with the other brands and their X370 boards for Ryzen. The soundblaster problems is known by over a year by Gigabyte but they seem to ignore it. I cannot recommend the predecessor therefore, not because of the hardware, but because of the poor service quality of gigabyte BIOS team.

In the conclusion it talks about a voltage/LLC issue but I didn't see anywhere in the review where it's elaborated on. Can anyone shed some more info on this? I haven't used gigabyte in a long time and finally a friend convinced me to try it again so I pre-ordered this board and this issue concerns me (though it sounds fixable which is good)

Im currently working with Gigabyte on getting the LLC fixed - thats also why there isnt a video atm.

Any update from Gigabyte?

Im not bothering with a video anymore. Its like banging my head on a brick wall. If they spent half the amount of time testing that they do arguing they may actually have half a chance at a semi decent product.

In reality they deserve to be in 3rd place behind MSI and Asus. The whole brand is being let down by crap bios and even worse management.

Yeah such a shame. I refuse to use MSI after software problems in the past so I'm basically left with Asus again! Sigh.

I quit using/recommending Gigabyte a few years ago. Before that they were my go-to brand for motherboards, like in the C2D/C2Q days. Sad to see them go down like this, but they dug their own grave. If they won't work with a reviewer, imagine being the end-user.

I stopped using Gigabyte products after their socket 775 mobos, I had a P35, P45 followed by an X48, Terrible products, If anything went wrong on the boards and you rang up customer support, They talked to you like a piece of garbage and tried to blame you for any problems.

I'm heavily considering buying one of these boards as it fits my aesthetic perfectly. What kind of issues would I experience due to the LLC issues?

Havent looked myself, but check the actual review article on first page. It could be that TTL has made some comments on the LLC there.
