The X399 chipset has attracted a lot of attention and Gigabyte have applied their Aorus wizardry to it. We take a first look before our full review next week.
Looks pretty cool, even with the RGB turned off. The chipset heatsink makes me wonder if anyone has ever water cooled a chipset heatsink just for the looks of it.
Three LAN ports though. Just why? Aren't two more than enough already?
interested to see full review , sounds like they have taken a leaf out of evga's book , there's two fans under that IO shield for active cooling , wonder how much noise they will make when tom gets the big stick out
I'm hoping for Gigabytes sake this beauty and she is a looker (for once) sings like a canary. She'll probably squeal for mercy once TTLs tickled her Bios a bit.
Just watched a video from "Hardware Unboxed" with this board and it looks like Gigabyte cheaped out on the VRM's compared to the MSI Creation board and the Asus Zenith Extreme.
Annoying as I was actually eyeing this board up for a build.
Will wait for the definitive review from the guv though ^_^
Yes it doesn't look a good start again for gigabyte , but impressive to see asus keeping in touch with the msi , since the asus was really designed for the 1950x
