Gigabyte Responds to MSI's Bluff Call

A little earlier this month, MSI's PR team dished out a presentation in which they claimed that Gigabyte was misleading buyers into thinking that as many as 40 of its recently-launched motherboards were "Ready for Native PCIe Gen.3". MSI tried to make its argument plausible by explaining what exactly goes into making a Gen 3-ready motherboard. The presentation caused quite some drama in the comments. Gigabyte responded with a presentation of its own, in which it counter-claimed that those making the accusations ignored some key details. Details such as "what if the Ivy Bridge CPU is wired to the first PCIe slot (lane switches won't matter)?"

I wouldn't say ASUS. Them ass wipes wont RMA my sabourtooth (ive never RMA's a thing in the past except Hds) even though USB keeps dropping out, 2 of the ram slots no longer work and its twitchy as hell.

ASUS can kiss my ass good bye to any money from me in the future. The sabourtooth is the biggest pile of dog poo ever ...

Asus RMA does take awhile. You have to realise that their customer service is located around the world. From my experience with them, you have to constantly check the RMA status and just contact them if something doesn't feel right. Our customers are always worried about the RMA shipping costs.

Oh yeah, I am going there! The underdogs of the enthusiast class motherboards have really caught my eye with the new designs on there "extreme" line of motheboards, there Fatal1ty line is ok, does well for the money but red and black are so overused. There new Silver Black look is just amazing, and the Extreme7 is just the Dogs Danglies! Even Tom used there new Extreme line, he used the Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 in Project Bangle! Go for Asrock!

TTL used an ASRock mobo for VonBlades custom rig, which is a good sign

I have also heard great things about there boards overclocking abilities! I hear the extreme7 can pull off a 5ghz stable on a 2600k like it is nothing! That was supposidly on air, so throw liquid on that and crank it to 5.2ghz

Originally though, I wrote them off for including support for onboard cpu graphics on there high end boards but, I guess it is just there if you need it XD They seem to be golden....Actually, having that onboard graphics support would be good for me o.o as I do not have the best of income at the moment....Ya know, working at Pizza Hut when your 17 does not exactly buy you the most lavish of things XD But back to the point, being that I do not have a ton of cash for graphics and what not, I could just go with bare minimum and upgrade my graphics later and other items later.
