Gigabyte claims that "next generation of AMD Ryzen" CPUs are coming this year

no way they release zen 5 this year.

maybe it´s a XT version or the APU with "big and little cores" or a PRO version with extra security features.

but sure gigabyte has achieved it´s goal of free marketing with this press release.

With the 7000X3D line only being released last month I can't see AMD releasing a new desktop series this year.

Idk it's very possible that they could late in the year as a christmas product with the line up slowly launching over into spring.

I'd expect if they do thou people are going to be annoyed, as i'm expecting zen 5 to kick butt.

It would be interesting if AMD launches real next gen.

One thing I can see AMD doing is releasing Zen4 + Zen 4c, in a configuration similar to Rocket Lake.

I've not looked at the roadmap in ages just take it as read they are in a machine doing the same things, but zen 5 is going to be a bigger leap than zen 4 was more like the jump from zen 2 to zen 3 was kinda a tick tock make something refine it then move forward, i'm expecting it to be a far better thing as internally they are making little comments like they would like it to come out now and buy it themselves.

I guess it's ship it when it's ready and if ahead of time just do it, in all honesty I feel Intel while they caught up in general the x3d part is kicking them and if it then becomes a double kicking not sure Intel are ready for that myself.

I don't think they have a reason to. Intel don't have anything we know of in the next year that will take the crown from Zen 4 and X3D, so why would AMD rush anything new out? They'd only be competing with themselves. It makes no sense to me. If Zen 4 sales were really that bad, surely they'd just mark prices down. The architecture is perfectly fine; all it needs is a price drop across the board. It has no glaring issues other than the cost of motherboards.
