Geforce launches closed beta of "The geforce experience"

So it's a tool for people who don't know how to change game-settings?
Don't they all already own consoles? :P

I watched the video
It changes in-game settings
It downloads drivers automatically (well known to be a bad idea)

Sounds like something for console noobies :P

I can see it being a good idea for those people who don't know what setting's they should run a game at etc, but for those of us who do then it's not really going to offer anything other than a faster way to change the settings.

I might try it when it goes in to open beta to see what it suggest's for games rather than what I have set, so that I get good looking graphics and performance.

Heard about it the other day. Interesting concept and would definitely help the clueless PC gamers that don't know how to adjust settings. I know a few people that could have benefited from this.

Nah, it adds stuff to the game. by the looks of the borderlands 2 previews. more particles and cloth textures that flow properly

I see this usefull to people that have low end graphics cards and don´t know how to find the best configuration to their cards play "smoothly" the games they have!

Seriously it doesn't 'add' anything it just changes settings. Turning PhysX up(which i imagine is an in-game or console setting), will add the cloth and persistent particles..

It's a settings manager that's all :)

As I say, for people who perhaps should have stuck with a console! :P

Can't wait to try it out but unfortunately I missed the beta signups. I guess it's good since people seem to be having issues with it and the supported games seem limited right now.

Yeah that's because PhysX effects were turned up from 'Low' to 'High'.

Pause @ 2:08 in the video...

The software recognized that the PC was capable of running PhysX at high so it automatically turned it up....As others have mentioned it's for noobs who don't optimize their games for the hardware they're running. :)

It's a feature of NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards :)
