Ehh so much nope, sticking to the old 2.4 version, the new spy client and blue screen simulator is just a joke, i need an account now to turn of my gpu's green led as its super bright on stock, no thanks nvidia.

If you want to avoid the auto update, go to "C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\GeForce Experience" and delete the folder named "Update"

Could you elaborate on the blue screen sim and spy client please ?

Sounds shady as hell ^_^

the day i updated it ive had a few blue screens, worse fps and a lot of game crashes with guild wars 2 which was 100% fine before that. as for the spy stuff,

3. CONSENT TO COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION

Customer hereby acknowledges that the SOFTWARE accesses and collects both non-personally identifiable information and personally identifiable information about Customer and CUSTOMER SYSTEM
To me this smells like targeted ads later, selling customer information to some entity for targeted ads and services. It is just so bad to need and account to change settings for your graphics cards, shadowplay, lighting control, optimizations is all behind a login wall now, and no internet is no settings.

Ok yeah that's pretty shady, Luckily you can control your GPU's brightness through either EVGA's or Zotacs software, As for game recording you can do that with a few free ones but sadly none are as good as Shadowplay, Minus Action by Mirillis which is great and records really high bit rate audio and gameplay at up to 4K albeit costs money but it is updated regularly through Steam and uses either the AMD or Nvidia codecs.

Cool, i might look into minus action, but im just stumped nvidia thought, hey lets do this thing and put everything behind a login wall.

Either way, please avoid geforce exp 3.0 or above and just stick to the old one.

What about Dxtory or Fraps?... Haven't used the latter in years, so no idea about it. But the first one I've used and liked it the few times I've used it.

Woopsy, I have Version 3.0.7.34 :p...

Action by Mirillis, Brilliant software and I've been using it for over a year -

For me I found Dxtory way to fidgety, Too many things to configure to get a basic recording and Fraps is hella resource heavy.

Thanks man, wishlisted!

You're welcome, they have sales quite a lot so keep an eye out, It gets updated fairly frequently too with new features, Performance optimizations, H.265 support etc....

People who buy it now or before 2.0 comes out will get a free upgrade :)

Damn, that cost some penny to be honest with you...

And I know what you mean, but once you got into it, it's pretty straight forward and the options are endless it seems. Plus once you got it working, it's very smooth and light on your PCs resources as well.

It's an investment and IMO it's worth it if you want something that is not tied to any vendor specifically and comes with quality rivaling Shadowplay but with miles better audio and many other features.

Fair point and fair enough then bud :)

It was the other way around with me the older version stop working i could load it and that was it, for me the Beta version works without any issues.

I've had to update it since W10 decided to do another freaking auto update mid session and it killed my previous version of GeForce Experience. I'm not a big fan of the 3.0+ version either.. :/
