Question: Do you need to install that stupid Nvidia auto settings picker crap to get the shadowplay software?

For all those running SLI and having a problem with chrome going blank, this driver seems to fix it, from the release notes it seems that it had something to do with chrome launching in 3D vision.

Why? You can stop it from changing game settings. It's quite handy for driver updates.

You can just turn automatic updates off altogether including the game optimization part, Takes a mind boggling painful 10 seconds to do ^_^

I do understand what you mean though, I personally like the GeForce Experience software minus the game optimization part, Would be great if they could make that an optional install.

I don't mind Geforce Experience, I certainly rather it to AMD's equivalent Gaming Evolved app. The driver updates are a nice bonus too.

Normally I don't like additional crap that runs in the background, but it saved me tweaking loads of settings to get playable frame rates in games like Batman Arkham City on my old rig with a GTX 560, plus I'm quite impressed with ShadowPlay on my GTX 780.

Because more pointless bloatware.. I'm quite capable of changing game settings, and nVidia driver installers/updaters are NOTORIOUS for screwing installs up. All my driver installs are cleaned and regimented. And funnily enough I NEVER have driver issues.

I've had this approach since BF3, the amount of problems that a bad, slightly off canter or even blinked at the wrong time driver install would cause are numerous and ugly

Because it's just more bloatware mate, I always do minimal installs for drivers, have done for a few years now and my driver issues dropped from 'fairly frequent' even using the 'nvidia provided' way of doing it to absolute zero once I changed to a bit more strict way of doing it, never, ever had a problem since.

Like I said, I only use it for the driver updates and I can't really say that I ever have any issues with them either so each to their own.
