I'm glad I bought the GoW ultimate edition XBO. I don't even know how games go gold with these kinds of problems. Does no one test them?

Click-bait title that bashes a game an hour after it is silent released. Pretty despicable to post this article, that by the way, reads like it was written by a 3rd grader, for the sole purpose of clicks.

You are doing the opposite of what a site like yours is made to do. Don't drive people away because there are no drivers for those cards one hour after release. Give these people some time. Also, work on your grammar and writing skills, because this article made me never want to come back to this site for news.

Top skills. I thought you were paraphrasing me for a minute there.

Your comments have been noted and I will admit that my writing does need a lot of improvement.

I have updated the article adding my current experiences from the game, which are terrible to say the least, with the game refusing to download for both myself and the majority of users who left reviews on the Microsoft store.

After a 30 minute support call and several online chats with Microsoft technicians regarding this issue all i can say is that the Microsoft Storefront had fallen over at the first hurdle, with the first store exclusive and DX12 game being unavailable to download, nevermind play.

Microsoft are aware of the issue and say that they have a team working on the download issue, but it really shows a lack of preparation on Microsoft's part.

Was it a mistake then? Maybe the game was accidentally (I don't know how you can do that, but still) and that's why it's such a POS.

Twitter is a buzz about no multi gpu support, no overlay, no mods. Many people are screaming don't buy it

I think I will wait a few days and let the dust settle to make a decision on that.

I have finally been able to get the game to start downloading, so hopefully I will have some performance data for the game tomorrow.

I will do my best to pin down exactly where the issues are in the game, as I think AMD's issues may be due to VRAM capacity limitations.

I fail to see how a tremendously poorly marketed release justifies this kind of performance issues both with the overly locked down DRM and within the game itself. While games aren't expected to have flawless performance on every system out there without game-specific drivers, it's also not expected to be an interactive slideshow with fun things like artefacting, forced V-sync and missing multi-GPU support.

Also; you made an account to bash the forum? Please do never come back, if that's the kind of attitude you decide to bring on day one. Good riddance.

Agreed - regardless of whether drivers are optimized for a game or not, the game should work reasonably well at launch. SLI/Xfire yeah maybe give it a while for full support but the majority of users should be able to run the game at reasonable settings. If the devs can't get that working then clearly it's a case of it's not ready for release.

Click bait? Or you mean this actual news? It's the latter not the former. It is suffering from a multitude of issues at launch and is clearly not ready. Now there are a lot of technical limitations/weird things because of the Universal Windows thing(Good job MS) they are using, but still this launch won't be fixed by drivers.

Also if every other site is also posting this "click bait", wouldn't you end up calling it news? Or the very least informative article(which is technically news but I digress)? If it's click bait, only one site would be posting it and it's title would be far more misleading..

I'm grateful for the info myself, It's helped me avoid spending 22 quid on a game I can't download and if I manage to get past that a game I can't play properly. The title states what it's about and it's designed to draw your attention to the fact there's issues, If you want to call that click-bait so be it but I'm guessing the game is something you've been excitedly waiting on and feel some disapointment over but as I said it did me a favour, Plus we need to bring the pitfalls of Windows store exclusives and MS's plans to everyone's attention just like was done over the issues with there plans before the X-one's launch.
