Hey people of OC3D Forums, like some other people these days, in this financial situation, i am on a budget of £600. I know its possible because i've watched TTL's video about budget systems. So i've been looking around and i figured out a system that i think might be okay, but i'm not sure, so i'm asking you guys will it be okay for gaming? List below;

Case; InWin BW135

CPU; Intel Core i3 2100

Motherboard; EVGA 120-SB-E682-KR

Ram; 4GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333Mhz

GPU; MSI 1GB 560

HDD; 500GB Seagate ST500DM002

PSU; 650W OCZ ZT Series

Total Price; £526.50

The list btw is parts from Scan. If there is anywhere better i could get them please say

Thanks peeps

You could easily get away with a 500W PSU for that setup, and OCZ don't have the best rep for PSU build quality. Corsair or BeQuiet are worth a look.

Changed the PSU to a 530W Be Quiet Pure Power L8 BN181 and GPU to 1280MB GTX 560 Ti (448 cores instead of 336)

Total Price; £558.76

Would that system be good enough to gaming?

the graphics will probably more than enough.

what brand have you choosen?

530 watts should also be fine

Have you looked at the Z77 Motherboards? They are compatible with the i3 2100.

If you went for the Gigabyte one, it would save you another £19. You'd then have enough left over to buy an SSD for a boot drive.

How about:-

500W Corsair Builder Series

Mushkin Chronos 60GB

Not a recommendation, but I messed on Scan for a bit and, seeing as I care very little for cases, I figured I'd match your components, and went over by 57p (despite taking out the Noctua I wanted), and reckon I'd get this, clock the living crap out of it - AND it'd play games magnificently.

.... of course there are bits missing from a full rig, I'd not even buy some of the bits, but you only spec'd 7 things, and I'd not sign my name against any of these components, it's just to see which I could melt first.

Spec me another... £100 and it'd rock ! lol
