AMD would be crazy not to make it. They have too many RDNA 3/3.5 handhelds coming. Furthermore, Strix Halo and its big RDNA 3.5 GPU really needs FSR 4 support to be considered a strong gaming option.

With the new Xbox handhelds coming out this could be really good considering they are all RDNA3/3.5.
I do wonder how much FSR4's image quality and performance will differ compared to running on RDNA4.

I'm more concerned about why AMD baby steps everything for years now. All these X.5 instead of just the full next release. They have the money now.

I'm more inclined to think they just simply don't have enough engineering manpower to go around and make do with what's already been done. I understand custom orders they are essentially just fulfilling the request but in their own products they have been half stepping for I think a decade. Surely they have been able to fill out engineering manpower. I'm curious to what the reason is. It could very well be money related. It really doesn't matter end of day but it's been a useless thought on my mind for far to long

You guys should already be very aware of the reason for the .5 steps Sony AMD that simple they work on the console stuff together and then amd implement said stuff into there own software hardware and repeat its not rocket science but they have made a huge amount of progress on things and so Ive no issues cause the stuff AMD put out software or hardware wise is as good as able at the time, same with tsmc with their development cycle on chip manufacturing which you also have too factor in on price but over time it’s forward progress. The gains will be smaller in fps on 3/3.5 but worthwhile in terms of vs 3.1 which being honest it was the higher quality fsr4 as to why i went day one 9070XT that and prices at the time were decent. The only drawback for me is that rdna5 might yet again be as tempting thou I’m sure he’d be okay giving me back my 6800xt for the 9070XT lmao
