Hey there guys!

I was just about to upgrade my graphic card with something bit more powerful. I happen

to find quite a good deal on these Gainward GTX 670 phantoms, but I'm not quite sure if

my motherboard is going to fit them in SLI. The Phantom is around the size of 2.5 slots.

Help would be much appreciated =)

Here's what the gpu looks like.

And here is my motherboard (ASrock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3)

Yes it will, you'll have half a pci slow gap between them.

I've recommend having a fan on the side panel though cause the top card isnt gunna be great for airflow

It will fit just about, but tbh i wouldn't recommend it at all as the top card will be starving for air as it will be right up against the bottom card's PCB.

Here's what sli 670 phantoms look like (in a Silverstone FT02 case).

That's a gigabyte P67-UD7 motherboard.

Performance was awesome, past tense. The primary card (one on the right in the picture) got too hot and the fan would go past 80%. Too noisey at that level. That's despite the FT02's great cooling. So I'm returning them for direct exhaust type 670's.

Being diplomatic, you might have a different experience with a different case and motherboard.

Cheers on the props guys. The all black was the theme I was going for, you can blame TTL himself for that. His review of the gainward 570 phantom kickstarted me. He said it would look awesome with the gigabyte P67-UD7 and he was right!

The 2 670 phantoms you see in the pic are being replaced with EVGA 670 4gb's when they're available in the uk. The fan design of the phantoms didn't work well in sli with the silverstone FT02. Too much heat flung around the case and not enough removed. So I've moved on to the direct extraction design of the EVGA. Should still look pretty good tho!
