G92/8800GT 3DM05/06 scores out!!!!

Crazy flippin madness !
I`ve just checked our 3DMark06 Benchy thread, and guyz here with single 8800GTXs and 6600 cpus are scraping around 13000/14000.
I know 3DMark isn`t a full representation of ingame blah blah, but as a recognized benchmark across platforms, that`s pretty darn impressive.

I was thinking about the 8800GT last night (whilst scraping a now lengthy shopping list together) - and the pro/con over geting one/two of those vS GTX (older tech).
GTX, or more likely an Ultra, is still hitting $600 or so. Tho some peoples are bundling them with stuff which can show an attempt to keep the price up via the bundle massage.
If I`m w8ing til Feb or so for a top range new tech, an 8800GT has to be a good option. Even tho a few weeks after it`s release u`r still gonna get the likes of XFX/evga/etc bringing out factory clocked, ultra, XXX models etc.
GTX can`t stay @ $600 if they plan selling GT for $300.

I'm either getting one top end nvidia or two amd cards - whichever is best at the time.
Aaaaaaaaaargh I can't wait for November, Crysis, 8800gt/2950's... w0000tage.
As for the flagship launch Rast, one of these mid rangers will serve you well to tide you over, and if you ebay it come Q1 08 when the top dogs arrive you could prob get most of your money back.
No point getting a GTX now, not when this card equals it for less.
My concern is the $300 will translate to £300.
Are there any trustworthy Americans who will do what Frag used to do? Small fee ship in goods to us poor Englsih???

Frag probably still would m8 if u hit him up.
Shopping list will be posted soon cos I gotta get a whole load of things off my chest in terms of where to buy in the states etc. Atm I`m wholey looking at NewEgg, but i can hear people saying "no no no" as I type.
Sketchiest things for me now are the AM2 setup (775 pretty much organized) - not much dev on the am2 mobo department.

Where are you based? I assumed you lived in Wales - Dinas Caerdydd!
If you are UK based how are you ordering from the egg? Delivery is not international and import tax makes it a non viable option in my eyes. I'd bulk order with you?
Tankguys.com (most things) ship internationally, as do sidewindercomputers.com (only watercooling)... NICX(?) Canadian site ship here iirc.
Re Frag, I pm'd him once or twice just to say sup/come back etc but he never replied. Don't think I have his msn, i'll guess it tonight as i think i know it!
