G.Skill Unleashes RipJawsX Memory Kits for Sandy Bridge

I haven't got a full list of prices, but the G.Skill Ripjaws XL 1600MHz 2x4GB 9-9-9-24 is $135 AUD. The 1333MHz version of the same RAM is $115 AUD

G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL8-8-8-24 1.5V Memory Kit $147 CAD

G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL7-8-7-24 1.5V Memory Kit $157 CAD

Prices from NCIX

Hmmm, doing a strait conversion from AUD to GBP makes them £84.81 for the 1600mhz and £72.25 for the 1333mhz. Of cause these are not the correct prices because of UK tax etc but it's a rough estimate to what we can expect

Wait it appears Newegg is like stocking all of them, and for those of you wonder about the price of the top of line sticks.

G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2200 (PC3 17600) Desktop Memory Model F3-17600CL9D-8GBXLD $300 USD

G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL8D-4GBXMD $160 USD

Mushkin Redline 1600MHz costs $154.

Which is a bit more than double of 1600MHz Mushkin Redlines.

Redlines it is then.

Mushkin Redline 1600 is $154.00, and GSKill 2133 is $160.00 (6 dollars more) with a cooling fan? I don't see why Mushkin is the choice then. What an I missing? I have 16 sticks of 2GB 1600 RipJaws RAM in four systems that always works well for me.

from what ive been reading the uk price for the ripjaws including vat will be £94 for the 1600mhz and £88 for the 1333mhz which tbh isnt that bad..

After looking at that chart of prices, I see that for $40 more you can double the RAM to 8GB instead of 4GB. That isn't such a bad deal as far as I can see. Unless I'm just missing some fact that makes these charts moot.
