G.Skill showcase 4000MHz+ Trident Z memory at Computex

Man that G.Skill memory Black/Silver looks sick just as nice as the Corsair Dom Plats or maybe even nicer.

-OFF TOPIC-
I'm looking at buying some new memory but i'm having a hard choice i was going to get the Dom Plats until i seen this kit but the problem is none of my computer shops stock this G.Skill Black/Sliver kit in Quad channel only Dual channel :(

Dom plats look not as good and look outdated. I prefer trident myself. That said, no one needs this much speed, do they, but it is is awesome without a doubt!! Well done!

Trident has more modern design than Dominator, and i don't understand Corsair's pricing. Doms are more expensive than Trident, and trident looks better, and has better timings.

Klevv had a really nice white LED spreader with the little triangles but restricted to DDR3 only Aw. I do think some brands will come out with new designs for both HEDT platforms.

Dominator Platinums are so last year. In fact, I think they're so... three years ago??

I think they know that too. But they are scarred to release new design because people might not like them as the Doms. So what does Corsair do? They release special edition, on top of a special edition to try and prolong the life of Doms. I like that Kingson is releasing new stuff. It is one more competitor on the market, and one more choice for us.

I definitely agree. People still keep buying Dominators so Corsair keep making them. Three or four years ago Dominators were some of the only high speed memory kits with attractive heat spreaders available across the world. Water coolers started using them in their flashy X79 builds and that was it. But now we have competition offering more variety and higher speeds so there is no excuse for Corsair to continue offering the same thing unless they fear change.
