Alright Guys,

I have a Mach 2 GT & an FX-55 but I am now stuck benching @ 3380 1.79V, I want to go further & colder!!!

Would regassing with r507 give me better results or is there any way of using a Mach 1 to help the Mach 2 get colder like a cascade & if so, would it be easy to do.....?

Thanks For The Advice In Advance

R507 it or get a chilly1 unit off phil then you will get a highly tunned unit that will cool to around 210watts of real heat at 41ish degrees on the gt display which is realy fookin cold for a mach2 gt

Or get yer gt regassed and tunned for around -20 to -30 of cooling on 210watts of real heat on the gt display

:)

The regas will cool it better, especially under load, but modded with the chilly one or Baker head really does a good job of gaining the max you can.

Thats the pro's

The cons are that a r507 re-gas means you have to have the fans set on turbo 24/7 to avoid overheating of the MACH2, plus adding a neoprene surround internally of the CPU kit to avoid frosting - dialectric grease in the CPU Skt is also recommended.

I guess the question that could also be asked is:

Does a Vapochill LS (already r507) cope better (and quieter) with the higher heat output of a FX55?

I know the GT is better accousitically when standard, but is the LS the intermediate (noise and performance wise) between Chilly1/Baker and Mach2 GT?

I have seen an article where they apply a baker cooling head to the LS, mod the cap tube and regas r507 to provide better cooling.

The LS will cool the FX55 slightly better than a stock GT in my honest opinion. However, what you need to take into account is the noise factor. The LS is a LOT noisier than the GT under any circumstances. There's nothing you can do about that.

A recharge to 507 will give you the equivalent cooling potential (albeit quieter!)

A Chilly1 unit will simply own everything in its path. A customer currently has his FX55 @ 3.5ghz (for benching) under his Chilly1, @ -45 degrees under load. The CPU is the limit to the overclock in most situations now.

how about .,....

move to a colder country

like iceland :D ;)

When i used to bench, i put my pc out side ..

lol, wel on the ledge of the window.

£1000 worth of quipment hanging off a ledge
