fx-57

I'm quite pleased getting that with the 2gig of ****ty ram Ive got, its great for gaming, prob not the greatest in benchies.

I'll leave this one on a torture test...

the go for the biggie...

A 1 GIG O/C ON AN FX-57

(dammit, just cursed it now)

Is it going to be a suicide shot at 3.8GHz or do you think you can get it 32Mb Pi stable?

note sure mate.

3.725 is stable..

running torture test for the rest of today to make sure..

so its only a little more i need ;)

I would doubt it would be stable at 3.8 though, highest Ive seen stable is same as mine, some dude in germany..

what stepping and volts mate im still burning mine in at bloody 3445 lol

Im sure the stepping is the same as yours mate, i got mine from phil as well..

volts are 1.55

btw, ive never found that burning in thing does anything once the paste has been cycled a few times..

I got a great mounting on this one..

there is no seal string on the bottom of the baseplate or the cool head, only around the sides to seal it. Its risky, but if you can do it right you get great contact.. also there is hardly any paste.

asus probe is reporting cpu temp of -14 when idle (forgot to check under load :( ). Not sure how accurate that probe is mind you..

wish i had some decent ram to play with now :o

but i gotta say gaming with this 2 gig is sweeeet.

3725 at 1.55v you got the bloody uber chip noooooooooooo need to know the steppings see if mine is the same :(

Looks that way mate - CPU lottery on the 57's, McMads a winner.

I heard ballistix 1GB sticks can go up to 250 HTT/FSB @ 2.5-3-3-6 @ 2.9v??

That being the case you can adjust the multiplier to give you a great overclock 250*15? or deffo 250x14 and that my friend will alows you to enter benching heaven - certainly give us 2x512MB boys a run for our money.

Alternatively slap in a ram divider to help you max out your overclock without stretching the ram to the limit which again = benching heaven.

Sounds like a great set-up.

Fatty mate - suicide sealing? I love it!!

Very impressive mate!

I've just set mine up in the V2000/R507 Mach II and its currently sitting pretty at 3.5ghz 1.55v stable. Might try and up the vcore in clockgen by a tad to get stability at 3.6.

Bloody hell, its as though we're all running intels with these clock speeds..

burning in a cpu has no affect on clocks wat so eva and is a total waste of time, burning in is only effective on ram ;)

shigs

Well I seem to have had improvement with burning in my temps and vcore has dropped for more stable clocks unless that is just a fluke ??? but I can do 3445 stable at 1.52 as apposed to 1.57

Those are some sweet chips there, so much power with so little volts.

Do they respond to more volts? (ive seen a few max out at 1.65 recently)

I shall try mine now - anyone got a link to clockgen for the Asus A8N Deluxe? As you know it tops out at 1.55v (overvolts slightly) but I am 3.5 stable. Will get into windows at 3.6 but not for benching.

people who have been using cpu burn-in seem to be having good results over at XS.
