Forza Horizon 4 PC Demo Performance Impressions

Well without even seeing the article (it's not loaded yet) I couldn't play it, it simply crashed every other race and the input lag was atrocious.

Very pretty as I've said before but needs work before launch.

As is the curse of the Windows 10/Microsoft Store.

Yeah, there's a lot of problems being reported on the Forza forums.

I managed to get it running really nicely on my rig. Turned out the problem was a slightly unstable memory overclock. Got that dialled in properly and it's running at max settings, 2160p60 on my Vega 56 rock solid. Pretty impressive actually.

Just wish more people could get that experience without the bugs they're experiencing. I think I got really lucky and had the golden goose setup that actually works.

I take it you're not using Windows 10 then... as you're automatically logged in via your windows account.

You can use Windows 10 without being logged in. Microsoft makes it difficult to log into the Windows Store without logging into Windows though, it is possible though.

Then there is the fact that you then need to be logged into Xbox Live to play the game, or whatever that login is when you actually start the game.

That's what I'm saying, once logged into Windows the store and Live are automatic for most.

Yeah, it definitely simplifies things. A lot of the PCs I use are benchmarking oriented, so I never log into Windows directly.

Wrong on both accounts.
I am on Windows 10 and no you do not have to be logged in. I wasn't for the longest time. It doesn't automatically log you into Live either.

I am however logged in. The issue I am having has been present since the first Forza title to launch on Windows 10. It's never gone away. So if they can't be bothered to fix it I won't be bothered to pay for the game. the one thing that should work is allowing players to log in and get playing. Preventing them from even doing that is the best way to deter playing your game and them asking for a refund.

Strange that it doesn't work for you NBD, I've never had an issue with it it's always been plain sailing.

I agree it's strange. Was looking forward to the demo because I wanted to get it so my friend could also play (we game share through Xbox) and it would have been nice to play on both console and PC

Forza 7 is doing exactly the same thing for me. Can't even enjoy it properly.
