Forza Horizon 3's CPU performance patch is now live

Will you be doing a performance review? I'm pretty sure you did one at launch, so it would be a good comparison:)

I am considering it, but it is a lot of work, especially when getting good performance data from a UWP game. Perhaps just some CPU related tests.

One other problem is that we used an i7 6700K based system when we did that performance review, now we use a different CPU. That will mean that comparisons with our old results will be useless.

If you clock them the same it would be valid. The same architecture after all. I wouldn't expect more than a 2% difference. Which realistically is negligible.

Or to see the threading improvement, test the i7 you have, limit it to 4 threads, then enable all of them. That would be a good CPU test

Not exactly, Broadwell and Skylake are not the same. It wouldn't be an apples to apples comparison, though it is nice to see that the new threading model can be turned off for additional comparisons.

It is under consideration, I will sleep on it and decide tomorrow morning.

I have gained a lot of performance from the update, I have a 6700k and 1080ti and went from 55-60fps in the city to 100-125 fps. The stuttering issues seams to have gone as well. Running at 2560 x 1440 with everything on ultra and 2 x MSAA, everywhere other that the main city is 144 fps.
