Hello,

I just registered yesterday and the help I've already received has been great. I have a few suggestion that might make things easier for new members.

In order to find a register a new account button I had to hit reply on an ongoing thread. Maybe there is a way to add a create new account button next to the login button on every page?

I have also noticed that you get auto logged out very quickly. Logging back in to reply to a post while the tab is still open is a little annoying.

Last, I can't set my avatar. Is this something that takes admin approval? On the edit avatar page there is no info as to why, only the "use no avatar" button shows up.

You guys have a great setup here and I look forward to taking part in the community.

You could just click on "Register" to make a new account ;)

As for avatars, You need so many posts if I remember correctly.

You know until you pointed that out I didn't see it. I actually had to look for it while logged out. Maybe it cold be better highlighted then? Just a thought.
 
Tick 'Remember Me' to extend the cookie time to stay logged in for longer. if you login in multiple places, it will usually also expire your other sessions.

Someone else has already pointed out what I was going to with a big arrow, but you've spotted that already.

As for avatars, you'll get those once you meet the requirements, but we don't publically advertise what those are for various reasons.

Might be worth taking a look at Tweektowns anti Ad-blocker code. :cool: I didn't know it was this bad even long serving members are abusing the OC3D revenue stream :lol:

Last time I switched on an anti ad-blocker the forum filled with salty tears and moans.. it's mostly just not worth the hassle.

Really ? But the ads aren't even intrusive at all, It's like 3 pictures and a small changing picture near the top, Hardly an eye sore.
