Format/XP install problem

Just been to a friend’s house to do a format/XP install

The problem is that after you format and it copies the files and then reboots, computer is doing the whole process over again I have tried taking the disc out but this hasn’t worked I tried quick and none quick format

I didnt try deleting the partition but could this fix it?

Yes it would fix it. Make sure the computer is set to boot from the cd drive first then just delete the partition with the old windows on it then just make a new one and install windows onto the freshly made partition. Any problems just post. I'll get back to you sometime or someone else will.

what happens when u reboot with the disc out?
