flipping ipods for free

i've seen a few sites now which "offer free ipods", has anyone ever been involved and does it actually work?

Im guessing straight away that they sell your information on to third parties. but i think thats worth a free ipod :D

I'd be interested to hear about this too. I generally ignore anything on the internet with the word "free" in it.

Apparently most of them are "legit".

Its basically a giant pyramid scheme. You need go get 10 people to register with their credit cards to sign up to free stuff (free for 1 month), that's it, then if THEY want the Ipod they need to get another 10 people... The idea is a) a lot of people forget to cancel or end up being interested in the things they subscribe to anyway and also it's "viral marketing"... People are more likely to buy a product if their friends tell them about something.

Well, this is what my friend tells me.

apparently some people do get free ipods......but i read a review a while back, people cnducted a real experiment and i tihnk something like 2% actually get anything at all the rest just get spammed.

This actually DOES work... I did this a long long time ago back with the first gen Ipods. After getting a certain number of people to complete an affiliate offer it took about 8 weeks to receive my Ipod.

But yes, from personal experiences it does work. But watch out, the influx in spam is crazy.

Hrmm thinking about this as my hotmail addy is SPAM central anyhoo :)

Its hard to find people willing to complete the offers though because they all do require you to provide a credit card number for verification... You then also have to cancel any trial subscriptions so that you won't get charged. Pain in the arse but if you know enough people willing to hauk up a CC# and get some spam for ya, more power to you my friend!

I've got an iPod anyway, so I won't be entering this, but from what I've heard a very small number of people who enter these things actually get what they want.

I had a friend that asked me to sign his and I said fuck no, but he actually eventually got one :rollingla I guess some do work

Get an iRiver or Creative , they are better ;)
